Privacy policy
How xz ehf., kennitala 440919-0220, which owns and operates RAKN.io, handles personal information. For any inquiries, contact contact@rakn.io.
Overview
xz ehf. is committed to protecting your privacy. We collect personal information such as name, email, and billing details solely for the purpose of providing and managing your service subscription. We do not store your full credit card details on our servers. All payment information is encrypted and processed securely by our third-party payment acquirer. We do not sell or share your personal information with outside parties, except as required to provide our service or as mandated by law.
Who receives what
Five others are involved, and each gets only what it needs:
- Kling, our payment processor in Iceland: your name, email and billing details, and the card itself, which never reaches us.
- Paddle, our reseller and Merchant of Record outside Iceland: the same, with your country and billing address for tax.
- Resend: your email address, to send confirmation and password-reset messages.
- Cloudflare: your IP address, for the bot check on the sign-up page.
- Our map and video hosts: your IP address, when you load a map or watch a stream.
What we keep, and what we do not
- We store serial numbers for controllers and drones for authentication purposes.
- We store the last known position of each controller and drone, and when it was reported.
- A location you share from the map is seen by your group and its linked groups under the name you choose. It is held in memory only while you share.
- We store the markers you draw on the map: their position, and who placed them.
- We do not store flight paths. Live positions pass through, and only the last one is kept.
- We do not record video.
Ask at contact@rakn.io and we delete your account and everything in it.
