Before you use it

A payment can be refunded in full if you ask within 14 days of the date it was made and nobody in your group has used RAKN since it was made. This applies to the first payment and to monthly renewals, whether you paid in Iceland through Kling or elsewhere through Paddle.

Once you have used it

Due to the nature of the digital service, payments are not refunded once the service has been used, and we do not offer refunds or credits for partial months or for periods where the service was not used. The one exception is moving to a lower tier through Paddle, described under Changing tier.

If you buy as a consumer in the EU, EEA, Switzerland or the United Kingdom, you have a legal right to withdraw within 14 days. At checkout you ask for the service to start straight away, and you agree that the right ends once you start using it.

Changing tier

If you pay through Paddle, a change of tier takes effect straight away. Moving up charges the difference for the rest of the month. Moving down credits the unused part of the month to your account, and the credit is taken off your next payments. It is not refunded to your card.

If you pay through Kling, moving up starts the new tier straight away, and moving down takes effect when the month you have paid for ends.

How to ask

Write to contact@rakn.io from your account's email address, naming your group and the payment. If you paid through Paddle, you can also ask Paddle directly at paddle.net, which your receipt links to.

What happens

The full amount goes back to the card or account it was paid from. Refunds for orders outside Iceland are made by Paddle, as Merchant of Record. Your bank may take a few days to show it. A refunded subscription is cancelled, and access ends when the refund is made.

Cancelling

You can cancel at any time and will not be charged again. The period already paid for runs to its end. See cancellations in our terms of service.
